Pathology 294: Basic Concepts in Oncology — Spring Quarter 2025
Dear Graduate Students, Postdocs, and Fellows:
We are pleased to announce that Pathology 294: Basic Concepts in Oncology will be offered again this Spring Quarter 2025. This 4-unit in-person course will be held in-person at CHS and fulfills a Spring Quarter 200-level elective requirement for graduate students.

The course has been restructured into four focused blocks for a more logical progression of topics:
- Cancer Biology
- Causes and Prevention
- Diagnostics
- Clinical Aspects
Course Details:
- Location: Center for the Health Sciences (CHS)
- Schedule: March 31 through June 6: Three lectures per week (1 hour/day) In-Person
- Eligibility: Open to graduate students and upper-level undergraduates (instructor approval required). Postdocs, residents, and fellows may audit.
- Assessment: Mid-term and final take-home examination
